OVERALL ABILITY ON THE COURT:

Some of my strengths in my strokes are my forehand, which, since I was young, has always been my confidence shot, and which I use in matches to generate a more offensive game. On the other hand, my serve, which is one of the most essential resources in my game since, likewise, from a young age I focused on practicing it with many variations, such as the flat serve, with topspin and with slice on both sides of the court, which has been one of my best sources in competition both in singles and doubles.

In addition, both my volley and my overhead have allowed me to complement my offensive game when approaching the net and finishing points, and likewise in doubles matches, where I have also developed reaction speed. On the other hand, I also highlight my backhand slice and drop shot, which I use to change the rhythm in the middle of points. Additionally, I highlight my mobility and quickness, as they give me an advantage in getting through points and surprising my opponents.

RESUME:

My process as a tennis player begins at the age of 7 in the city of Villavicencio, in a recreational way at the social club of this city, with coach Cristobal Moreno, who a few days after starting my classes tells my parents that I have interest and abilities that set me apart from the group in this sport, supporting and motivating me to enter competition at the age of 9, for which I had the opportunity to win my first local circuit tournament. From this point on, I joined in the same city a competitive group of children aged 13, led by Professor Lizandro Medina, where we began participating in the national circuit organized by the Colombian Tennis Federation, in which I managed to become champion and runner-up in tournaments held in different cities of my country, both in singles and doubles. In the year 2022, and at 15 years of age, with the support of my family, I was able to travel to the USA to train at the USTA in Orlando, where I stayed for 4 months from October until the end of January of the following year; having the opportunity to train with young players my age in a competitive group, living great experiences both in practice and competition, managing to finish as champion and runner up in two tournaments organized by the USTA. At the age of 16 I managed to become champion in the South American COSAT Tournament (November 18, 2023) held in Armenia Quindío; likewise in the following year 2024 and at 17 years of age I achieved the gold medal in the national Interleague tournament held in my country representing the department of Meta; a tournament that gave me the confidence and motivation to begin competing in ITF tournaments, not only in Colombia but in different countries: Honduras, Peru, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Mexico; where I managed to earn favorable points, allowing me to reach my best position no. 15 in the under 18 category in the national ranking and position 1119 in the ITF ranking. As of July 2025, after turning 18, I had the opportunity to participate in a Professional M25 Tournament in my city, earning my first ATP points in doubles. In November of this same year, I also managed to enter my second professional M15 tournament in the city of Valledupar, reaching the doubles semifinals for the first time and earning 7 ATP points. It is essential to take into account that, since the beginning of my competitive process, my perspective in life changed, no longer being a recreational tennis player but seeing it seriously and importantly, taking care of my nutrition and dedicating most of my time to both physical and technical tennis training, thus generating greater confidence and security to take on challenges and goals in my beloved sport.

HOBBIES AND PERSONAL INTEREST

I don't have many hobbies, but besides playing tennis and going to the gym, I usually take English classes during the week and occasionally go out with friends or my parents. As a child, I used to build a lot of Legos and puzzles and play construction games, which sparked a strong interest in ​​structural engineering, so I plan to study civil engineering in the future.

DESCRIBE YOURSELF AS A PERSON:

I consider myself a calm person, very committed to my daily responsibilities. I enjoy spending time with friends in various settings, and I also consider myself loyal. I prefer to keep many aspects of my life private, being reserved, but I do share things with trusted people in my life. I connect easily with people who share my sense of humor and interests, but I still try to maintain good relationships with those with whom I have differences. In matches, I'm more competitive and always strive to win, but I respect the rules and my opponent. When someone disrespects me or tries to distract me, I ignore them, and if it gets too extreme, I prefer to call the umpire, since some players try to win unfairly. Regarding my studies, I'm sometimes a bit of a perfectionist, so I spend more time than I should, but I've been working on being more efficient with my time and results lately.
