I describe my playing style as aggressive; I use my forehand as my best weapon, generating power and consistency throughout points. My ability to move quickly makes me a challenging opponent.
I consider myself an agile person, as well as, good at building the point allowing me to stay in control of matches. Mentally, I am determined willing to persevere in each point I play, always pushing myself to improve and compete at the highest level. My ability to read the game and make quick decisions has helped me develop a strong on-court presence, making every match an opportunity to grow and challenge myself.
One of my greatest strengths is my agility and endurance, which allows me to fight back and pressure my opponents. My forehand is particularly strong, giving me the ability to open angles and finish the points.
Beyond technical skills, my biggest asset is my mentality. I am known for my competitive spirit and never-give-up attitude. No matter the score, I fight for every point and stay focused until the last shot. I enjoy the challenge of adapting my game to different opponents and match conditions.
RESUME:
I started playing tennis at the age of 4. My journey, unlike many people, began at my cousin’s condo where I quickly fell in love with the sport. Soon after, I told my
parents I wanted to join a club which was SMATT’s Tennis Academy. I started playing competitively and progressed through junior tournaments, winning my first local title at age 10.
I have competed in national and international tournaments, achieving a UTR in singles and doubles too. After I moved to Colombia I kept competing, achieving the
rank of #19 in category 14 feminine, nationally and state rank of #3. Some of my
most memorable achievements include, playing in the national once in a year tournament called Interligas for 3 consecutive years. (Categories: first year: 14 feminine and the next two years: 16 feminine)
Representing Antioquia has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. Tennis has shaped me into a disciplined and resilient athlete, and I am excited to continue developing my game at a college level.
HOBBIES AND PERSONAL INTEREST
Outside of tennis, one of my greatest passions is listening to music because it helps me relax when I’m mostly stressed out. I also like to read, mostly fiction books, which has allowed me to develop reading and comprehensive skills.
I also, value spending time with family, as they keep me motivated and happy. I believe that a well-rounded life off the court contributes to my success on it, and I always look for ways to grow both as an athlete and as a person.
DESCRIBE YOUR SELF AS A PERSON
I would describe myself as a competitive and funny person, always looking at the bright side of things and helping other people.
I am very proud in my ability to take on challenges. Whether on or off the court, I approach every situation with a positive attitude and determination to do whatever I need to do to accomplish it. I always look to improve and inspire those around me. Tennis has taught me the importance of discipline, shaping me into the person I am today.
My ultimate goal is to play in the Wimbledon as I once saw Serena Williams play and win when I was a child. I am excited for the opportunities ahead and ready to give my best in everything I do.
